DIDP RECEIVES MAIDEN CARGO TRAIN SHIPMENT AT ITS KANO PORT

In what to be described as one of the most colourful celebrations since its commissioning by the former president, Muhammadu Buhari in January last year, Dala Inland Dry Port today, received its first ever full laden containers cargo shipped all the way by rail from Lagos. The cargo loaded train which arrived at about 10.49am local time on Friday at its destination, located at the port’s headquarters in Zawachiki, Kano, was received by the management and staff of the company as well as dozens of business partners, led by the Managing Director, Honourable Dr Ahmad Rabiu, who was reperesented by the Head of operations, Alh Yakubu Tsalhatu Jumare. In his brief remarks to welcome the arrival of the cargo, Yakubu Jumare praised the Almighty for making the long awaited occasion a reality after decades of challenges and tussles. Jumare said this rail activity which was the first in the port’s operation, was a partnerhip with Transco logistics firm which will open more doors with more logistics companies that have already indicated interest to partner. He also expressed appreciation of the Board, the previous and present federal and state governments for all their support in making the Dala project a reality.

On the other hand, we denounce with righteous indignation dislike men which toil and some great pleasure.
Our power of choice is untrammelled and when nothing prevents able to do what we like best is to be welcomed.
